How We Created This Award-Recognised Kitchen in Mardi
This Mardi kitchen renovation is more than a cosmetic upgrade. Recognised as a HIA Kitchen Design Finalist, it showcases thoughtful planning, quality craftsmanship and a modern, sophisticated aesthetic.
The clients wanted a kitchen with presence, choosing darker tones and refined finishes to suit the architecture of their home. Matte-black cabinetry, clean lines and a striking black-stone benchtop and splashback create a moody, elegant foundation without overwhelming the space.
A custom island anchors the open-plan layout, offering generous prep space, seating and a strong visual focal point. Soft linear pendants highlight the benchtop while maintaining clear views to the living and dining areas.
Glass-fronted display storage adds a standout feature, providing stylish shelving, bar space and an integrated wine rack. The adjoining butler’s pantry continues the streamlined look with additional workspace and LED task lighting.
The finished kitchen is cohesive, functional and beautifully refined, achieving the clients’ brief and earning industry recognition for its design excellence.
